If you are thinking about getting married at the Museum, come take a tour and hear about your rental options including renting the entire Museum. Guests can enjoy the exhibitions which will introduce them to the Yukon and its history.

MacBride Museum First Floor (Ground level of the compound)

Renting the ground floor of the Museum gives you access to Aurora Hall and the First Nations Gallery plus the Natural World Gallery.

Aurora Hall is a brand new 2,000-square-foot space features floor to ceiling windows and the 600-piece Northern Lights Icicles installation. Entry from street level on Front Street. The space is only available outside museum operations hours. 

MacBride Museum

Occupying half a City block in downtown Whitehorse renting the entire museum gives you access to the over 26,400-square-feet of exhibition and public space as well as the courtyard and private decks. Enjoy Yukon history as well as views of the Yukon River from our third-floor balcony.

MacBride Copperbelt Mining Museum

MacBride’s Copperbelt location features a 5-acre space including our interactive mining and rail gallery, access to our 1,200 square-foot picnic pavilion and our beloved train Loki on our 2.5 km track. This space is only available for rentals outside museum operations hours.  Children's birthday parties can be accommodated during operating hours. Please inquire for at frontdesk@macbridemuseum.com. Located at 91928 Alaska Highway. 

Roundhouse

The Roundhouse may be available subject to operations needs of the trolley.  Please inquire at frontdesk@macbridemuseum.com.

Does MacBride do weddings?

Yes, MacBride Museum has been the site of many beautiful ceremonies and receptions. If you would like more information on hosting your special day at MacBride Museum please see the MacBride Museum Wedding Booking Form.

What is included in the rental?

MacBride Museum makes planning easy for you. Tables, chairs, projector and screen, microphone and speaker, podium, and coat racks are included in the rental, but must be requested in advance. Please note all of the items that you require when you fill in the MacBride Museum Booking Form.
One staff member will be on site during your rental.  

How much does it cost?

The cost depends on the room and the type of event. Please see the MacBride Museum Booking Form or call 867-667-2709, for current pricing. MacBride Museum is run by a non-profit society. All proceeds from facility rentals go toward funding museum programs and operations.

Can renters bring in their own food?

Yes, if renters decide to serve food at their private event they can choose to bring in their own food or hire a caterer. If the event is a public event, a permit is required from Environmental Health.  MacBride Museum works with may local caterers and can provide a list, if requested.

Does MacBride Museum provide bar service?

Yes, MacBride Museum offers an in-house bar service. Please see Wedding Rental Booking form for your bar options. 

The following bar locations are available depending upon the facility rental:

  • Klondike Gold Rush-era bar in the Gold Rush Gallery
  • Aurora Hall 
  • Innovators Gallery
  • Lower Gallery
